React Native
React Native is an open source framework, created at Meta, for building native iOS and Android applications using React and JavaScript or TypeScript.
What React Native is used for
React Native lets developers write mobile apps with the same component model as React on the web, while rendering real native UI elements rather than web views. One codebase targets both iOS and Android, with the ability to drop into native Swift or Kotlin code where needed. Its modern architecture improved performance by tightening the bridge between JavaScript and native code, and tooling such as Expo streamlines builds, updates, and app store deployment. Many large consumer apps run on React Native in production.
Why it matters for business software
For companies that already build with React on the web, React Native is the most economical path to mobile: the same developers, patterns, and often shared business logic carry over. This shrinks team size and keeps web and mobile features in step. Over-the-air update services also allow shipping fixes without waiting for app store review. Compared with Flutter, it trades pixel-perfect cross-platform consistency for native look-and-feel and reuse of an existing React skill base.
How Wizcoder AI Labs uses it
We build React Native apps for clients whose web products already run on our React stack, sharing types and logic between platforms. It is a core part of our mobile and PWA technologies, typically delivered with Expo and TypeScript.
